Nowhere Fast

Created as a puzzle of interweaving story lines, Nowhere Fast is Cinque Lee's (brother of Spike Lee) gritty portrayal of life in Brooklyn. On what starts off as a regular Friday, a handful of characters find their lives linked in one way or another as they are forced to face danger. Freshly escaped from a psychiatric hospital, a father tries to visit his estranged son... His ex-wife is frantically searching for her missing son... Her ex-junkie husband has just survived a car-jacking... The car-jacker has stumbled across a hidden stash of cocaine... A cold blooded killer is looking for his lost stash of coke... Amid all this, two kids get their hands on a loaded gun leading up to the explosive ending. The vignettes are pieced together with gritty cinematography and street-wise reality. Brutally realistic and deeply moving, Nowhere Fast is gripping and absorbing.
