'Dear Constant Listener; What a rare treat it was to be in one Place- watching the changing of 3 Seasons fly by and allowing thoughts to seed, germinate, and grow to fruition. This album was recorded quot;Live'quot; (with the exception of vocal and horn section overdubs) at a friend's house near Cologne, Germany over a day and a 1/2; a house filled with friends, chickens, babies, home cooking and lively conversations about Music, Food, Buster Keaton, VanGogh, & the benefits of method acting for musicians. This is hands-down the most living, organic project that i've been involved in and it wouldn't have been possible without the exceptional talents of Markus, Marius, Martin, Tommy, and especially Dania. I hope you have as much fun listening to these lil' kittens as I had making music with them! Regarding the songs: Mosts are written in letter form to people (real and fictional, present and past) and to places experienced. And theflower titles? Without sounding too hippy- compare people like flowers; each with a unique nature of tempermant, survival, and growth. It seemed fitting to have a Spring theme to it. There's a lot joyfulnoise on this one too. I love the free sound of Traditional Jazz and wanted to echo that in the horn arrangements with Tubas, trombones, clarinets, saxes, accordian and violin thrown in for a quot;home' feeling. Thanks for sharing yourstories and feelings with me too on the road & online.. It's all in here... Stay Happy, Stay Safe, Stay Fearless! Dino' recorded live at the Red House, Bornheim, Germany.
