SLICER/CORER SUCTION RED (Pack of 1)

I only buy firm fleshed apples like Gala. My husband can peel/core/slice an apple start to finish in just under 20 seconds with this gadget. All I have to do is make 3 or 4 straight cuts through the single stacked spiral and I have chopped apples for pie. You can also push the peeler back so it just slices & cores. If I'm eating the apple directly rather than using it for applesauce, for example, I'll leave the peel on. I used to avoid apples because the acid would make my teeth ache for days if I ate it without cutting it up first. Now I just grab this off the shelf, use it & throw it in the dishwasher. If I had to handwash it though I would probably only use it when I have a big batch to do. We have cheap fake granite countertops & it sticks really well as long as you use a bit of water and really press down THEN turn the suction knob over..the suction knob makes a big difference. I don't know if the other reviewers have porous countertops or what - but it works really well for us.
