It was a game, with game pieces and cards. Each game piece represented the player and each card told them who and how to kill. Tansy was the only hope for the Ghostwalker team. She has a special ability to touch things and see its history, its terrifying history. But her visions come at a price. She experiences those final moments. This is one Feehan's greatest books. It has a great deal of thriller/suspense but still the action/adventure of the military paranormal team, the Ghostwalkers. The romance is not sweet and innocent, but it is believable. And you feel for both the hero and the heroine as they struggle to choose between what they need and what is right. Even if you don't usually read Feehan, if you like a good thriller, I highly recommend this book!
