I purchased this Motorola MB7220 Cable Modem in April 2017. I have Suddenlink internet and had been using a Motorola cable modem for years with zero problems but wanted to upgrade to a faster internet with Suddenlink (50Mbps). The modem I had was still on the Docsis 2.0 with a 30Mbps limit and this new one is on Docsis 3.0 with a 343Mbps limit. However, after going through the setup, Suddenlink was able to activate the new modem with Serial & Mac but never found a connection to the modem and was never able to get an internet connection. I went through the entire setup process and the only thing that ever happened was the Welcome page from Suddenlink over and over. I tried going directly from modem to laptop via ethernet, I tried going from modem to router to laptop via ethernet as well as WiFi, still nothing. I went back to my old modem the same day and everything works perfect. Switched right back to this new modem and again, no connection! So the problem is definitely this new modem. Suddenlink rep over the phone was no help in resolving the issue, she just kept saying she can't even see a connection from their end. What a joke!
