Since launching his solo career in 2003 after the amicable breakup of OV7, Kalimba has become one of Latin music's most popular balladeers, fusing romantic lyrics with youthful R&B and funk. Kalimba's fusions have sent him to the top of the charts and influenced a generation of pop artists. Still riding the wave of his recent ballad hit "Duele" from his previous release NegroKlaro, Kalimba keeps the momentum going with his well-timed third solo album, Mi Otro Yo (The Other Me). This album leads with first single "Jamas" ("Never") and features 12 songs of Kalimba's expressive vocals and soulful latin-pop arrangements.
