Light & Sound Walking Robby the Robot

My son is a big fan of robots, so he was very excited today to receive Robby The Robot. Unlike many toys today, this toy already has batteries installed, so he is ready to play with right out of the box. This is a well constructed toy with lots of detail and very affordable! Just a click of the on switch and Robby takes off walking, spinning, flashing lights, and talking! My dad recognized this robot from a movie he had watched as a child called "Forbidden Planet". It is wonderful to see characters from old movies being introduced to our younger generation. I now want to see this movie! My son is having so much fun playing with Robby and I'm sure this toy will keep him entertained. This toy would also be great to give anyone who collects Robot type toys!

I had one of the smaller wind up versions of this during my childhood. So, when this one popped up, it brought back a lot or memories. And, I couldn't wait to get it for my grandson. I picked him up yesterday so he and his sister could enjoy Halloween in my rural area. {Don't worry, she got a treat too. They both get spoiled with toys at Grand-dads} And, he opened it and began playing with it almost immediately. One thing that I really like is that it comes with batteries (4-AA). How many times have we got our kids or grandkids that perfect gift just to bring it home and realize we have to make another trip for batteries? This one comes ready to go. And go it does. He played with it until bedtime last night and started again as soon as he finished his breakfast this morning. It does so much. He's playing with it now while watching my old disc of Forbidden Planet, the movie that made Robby The Robot famous. It's a quality made toy and would be a great choice for any child who likes robots or science fiction (which is just about every child). I'll be buying a few of these to give as Christmas gifts and I would highly recommend others to do the same!
