Lodge 7.5 Quart Enamel Cast Iron Dutch Oven, Oyster

note: one photo shows rubber spacers dutch oven was shipped with, it's not part of the cookware I really like this Dutch oven, have used it quite a bit. It's heavy of course (it's cast iron!), but that's part of why it cooks well. The finish was good, didn't have any flaws, Lodge does make these in China but due to environmental regulations enamel cast iron isn't made in the US, as I understand it. I think one company might, but they cost hundreds of dollars, more than even high end enamel cast iron. It does cook differently than other pots/pans, do a little research on cooking with cast iron. It retains heat amazingly, but it takes a little longer to heat up, once hot you need much less heat, for instance under a pot of chili. Just do your research before cooking. Came very well packaged. Keep those little rubber spacers for between the lid and pot for storing, less chance of chipping. (Remove before cooking of course! )

This is my second Dutch oven from Lodge. Other than receiving the wrong color (ordered white and got red instead) it's everything I wanted. Great quality, even heat and I love the ease of going from stove to oven. I cook all kinds of soups, chili, one pot dinners, stuffing….you name it. All come out great.
