Horrible Couple – Party Game For 2-8 Players, From The Creators of Horrible Therapist | A Funny Game Night with Friends, Card Game for Adults On Date Night, Anniversary Gift

Easy party pleaser. If you've ever played Cards Against Humanity, you already know how to play. This isn't quite as edgy as that, but there are a lot of butt-themed cards. We were 4 friends (M aged 35-65) playing, and even for people who hadn't played similar games before, it's very easy to pick up. What we liked was how quick it was to learn and play a game, and some of the compromise cards made us laugh a lot. There were definitely some similarly-themed cards in there, so make sure to shuffle the deck thoroughly on first play (we did not on the first run through).The art is great, and up there with existing Exploding Kittens games. If you're older, you'll probably want your reading glasses, but more for the artwork than the text, as that's read out by the player whose turn it is. Thinking about it, I wonder if it would be nice to play the cards on a lazy Susan so everyone could see the cartoon strip...? That might be a bit too much! Definitely a game for friends. I'll also give the couple version a try at some point, but that wasn't possible this week.

The game is enjoyable in the 2 player mode. As always, it's best to watch the directions instead of reading them! It took a couple rounds to fully understand the mechanics but overall it's a quick learn. We laughed and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing art. We have horrible therapist so this game plays very similar if not identical to it. Knocked it out of the park yet again! Look forward to expansions (wink wink)
