Quality/performance exceeded expectations

Had an old Mallory with a failed vac advance unit and timing all over the place, found an old hei but advance was rusted stuck, ordered this unit since cheaper than repairing my old, honestly I didn't expect much, but the mechanical advance works great (will swap lighter springs to have it all in sooner) but this thing works spectacular. One wire hookup (+tach wire) has my truck chipping gears and wrecking rice burners hopes and dreams. Adj. vac advance works great also. First time customer with speedway, very pleased. Thanks speedway you gained a loyal customer!

Works great

I bought a cheap accel style HEI from this websites competitor that starts with a J and it worked well until the engine would warm up, then it would randomly loose spark. Well I took it apart and discovered that they do not use heat paste between the module and the base of the distributor, so the module was fried. I bought this to replace it and the first thing I did was took it apart to check for that heat paste stuff, and it has it. I have around 600 miles on it in my 66 Chevelle with a 383 small block and no issues so far. You can't go wrong with this distributor.

Great stand alone distributer

Ordered this distributer and it was delivered in 2 days as promised even at this time of year. It is plug and play meaning all it needs is a hot wire (Hot wire meaning a wire run to the ignition switch so it will shut down when turned off) to make it work. It work great once it was in and timed. The instructions that come with it lead you through an easy install. I would buy again, also recommend to my friends + anyone else I no and will in the future look to Speedway for my part needs.
