Easy to assemble, a 15 minute installation after laying it out.. The racks attach into the bed rail stake pockets with the provided bolts and adapter/keeper plates. This setup allows function of my tonneau cover. (Revolver) Huge plus. It isn't the heaviest duty, rugged rack, but it's perfect for hauling my two 14 foot kayaks around without them getting rear ended. I put pipe insulation across the top bars and wrapped it with duct tape to provide some non scarring cushion for the boats. I did not drill the extra holes for the 2nd bolt, but if I were driving cross country or hauling something heavier I danged sure would. It is also possible to invert the top corner pieces so you can have a short upright (more clearance under the bars) or a longer upright. This was my preference to tie the boats in. A great option for what I wanted to use it for, and less than half the price of anything else I looked at.

I am very impressed with the quality of these racks, especially for the economical price. They are very sturdy and can hold a lot of weight - I've used it mainly for lumber. So far the racks do not get in the way so I can use the box of my Toyota truck. The only design improvement I can see is somehow to make them so they can easily be taken off, but this is not really an issue for me. I am very pleased with my purchase.
