REALLY WANTED THIS PRIVACY FILM TO WORK!

I had been looking forever for something to put on the windows of my front door for privacy. This item seemed to fit the bill. Well, first off, the original packaging plastic wrapped around the item is almost impossible to remove?!? After installing it on my 4 small windows the “tag tape” that was used to hold it together in the original package, shows through on my window as a faded rectangle about 1 inch by 3 inches as well as bubbles that can't be removed! Perhaps this is an OLD product! I'm bummed, because I really wanted it to work!
