Country Party

Direct Source does a ton of country compilations -- sometimes it seems as if that's all they do. But this one, short as it is (and the potential buyer should be warned about the under-30-minute brevity of this set), is one of the better ones: Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Mickey Gilley and his cousin Jerry Lee Lewis, Faron Young, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Paycheck all lay out party tunes. Yeah, Reeves' "Drinkin' Tequila," Hag's "Let's Chase Each Other Around the Room," Cline's "Honky Tonk Merry Go Round," and Jerry Lee's "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" are all here, with Cash's "Get Rhythm" setting the pace.
