Installation couldn't have been simpler
As a Centurylink customer, I needed something that I could depend on to have the correct specifications. This unit (which is actually a DSL modem and a router) fits the bill. No software was needed to install because installation was automatically done online. You do need an Ethernet connection at first, but you can switch to wireless once installation is complete. Broadband speed is very good and the internet connection has been very stable. I have internet access throughout my house and most of my large yard. This unit replaces three devices that I was previously using to provide wi-fi in my home. I had a DSL modem, a wireless router, and another router to help increase the coverage area. Also, I didn't break my piggy bank.

Modem works fine, but....
I needed to buy an additional router to boost the signal to work in all areas of my small house. Was told by Best Buy employee that she had the same problem in her apartment.

perfect if your a century link customer
Was at Best Buy one day to pick up a cheaper model and the guy there said people with CenturyLink were bringing them back. After a lot more dropped internet days I went online to Walmart and found they had these C1000A's that the guy at Best Buy suggested, $99.00 same price. Did the site to store, got an email in an hour it was ready for pick up. Took it home, was very easy to set up. Been using it for w week and have not lost the internet once and I am using it on two PC's. Highly suggested for CenturyLink customers!!!

Easy to install, and solved problem with old modem
I was having network problems that per CenturyLink were due to buffers that were being overrun in my old Actiontec DSL modem. CenturyLink recommended that I upgrade to a new DSL modem, and this was one of the ones they recommended. It was easy to install, and it solved the problem.

I am an existing century link customer and needed to update the router. This one is plug and play. Very easy install.

    Easy setup, works flawlessly
Recently switched to CenturyLink internet service and I did not want to pay a monthly lease for their modem/router so I made this purchase. Everything needed to setup your internet is in the box. The instructions are clear and concise and I had the internet up and running in a couple minutes. All together, a printer, Direct TV, bluray, 2 laptops, a galaxy 5s, iPhone 5c, an iPad and a consumer price survey reader are all connected through the router/modem and all work exactly as they should.
