good, mellow songs mostly about peace and love. Artist got bad rap after 9/11 incident in New York but he was very anti-terrorism. Most people in age 40 and over can sing along with the songs.

It's funny how the mind works; years go by and you don't hear songs out of your long-ago past. Then you hear them again and you can belt out all the words. Music has a profound memory-effect on our brains, I think. Cat Stevens has a distinct, beautiful voice whether you call him by his old name or his new name.
