With four indoor pets, a sturdy gate is a must-have. We've had several gates over the years, but our most recent one was our favorite until our youngest dog discovered how to open it. He would wait until we weren't paying attention and sneak into the office, where he would sleep on the cozy couch. One night, we had an all-out manhunt, convinced that he had slipped out the garage door and was lost. We canvassed the neighborhood in our car, calling out for him. It was an ordeal, but a few hours later, we found him snoozing in the office. I knew we had to get a new gate. This gate is top-notch. It's sturdy, well-made, and dog-proof. In my opinion, it's the best gate we've ever purchased. Even at night, I can hear my little escape artist trying to get through the gate, but he's met his match. Highly recommend it!

doesn't fall if you just use the pressure method. the door is big enough for my 12lbs cat. still has extra room. there are 2 buttons. one is above the other. over time, I noticed you only need to push the bottom one to get in and out. also over time the door doesnt close on its own. it is at a good height.
