Pretty but Narrow Gate and Slides Around

The gate is pretty and easy to assemble. The actual gate is too small. The gate needs to be wider. I cannot easily fit through the gate with my computer bag and lunch box. It is also difficult to bring groceries through the gate. I have to lift everything over the gate instead. I also plan to purchase grip material to stick to the feet. We have the gate on tile and our puppy pushes it around with ease.
