Nice, universal shifter

Bough from Holley for my 89 C1500 Silverado. Installed in 6 hours today. Unit is a bit low for my bench seat, so i made a spacer with 5/4 Trex, and surrounded it with Aluminium diamond plate. Only snag was the transmission pawl being 1/8th thick. Factory is 3/16. So you have to make a 1/16 spacer to made it up. File/Broach a rectangle to match the new pawl, and was fine. Final Fine cable adjustment was easy. Didn’t want a ratcheting shifter. Was looking for a simple B&M z-gate, but it’s not made for the 700R4. I like it...Works great!
