First, I did not but my 3060 EVGA from Walmart, although I would! Just found a better price! But I think the card is very good! and Walmart is getting a bad rap because of price! The 3060 XC is terrific! especially when you consider this is an upgrade for me from a EVGA 1660! I agree all these new cards are way too expensive! I always wait a few years until a newer version comes out and then I get the upgrade for a lot less!! Like the 4000 series has just been released and for a Ton of cash you can run right out and buy one! For me this means that the last generation 3000 series became available to me for what I can and am willing to pay for it! It's always supply and demand! lots of people with disposable cash that run out and buy the newest and best! if they didn't? you would see prices drop fast! but that's life! (o; Just don't give the product a bad rap just because you don't like the store or place selling it! People read revues to see how good a product is! and is it worth buy and can they expect the same performance? For toughs of you looking for a good product? I have been using EVGA for many years! like 25! and they have very good customer support! I had to send a bad video card in that was defective and they sent a replacement free! not even shipping charges! and they were very good on the phone! This was many years ago, and i have had no other problems with EVGA Video cards at all! all the ones I bought years ago are still working great!
One thing I will tell you! I learned the hard way and it cost me lots of money! These Video cards do NOT change much! That is why I waited and kept using my 1600 card for so long! I use my video card for editing video and playing games! from the 100's to 900's series there was some differences but not enough to pay big money for, same with 1000's to 1900's Very little real difference unless you bought the big card with 12 gigs of memory or more! Same for the 1000's through the 2000 series! Now for me there is a significant difference in performance and viewing from my 1660 to the 3060 and that's why I decided to buy one at a significantly lower price than they were going for new! Now! from this 3060 to the new 4060 there IS a big jump in performance and viewing! keep in mind you're probably going to need a new monitor with a lot higher abilities to utilize these newer video cards!!! But be ready for prices over 2k!!!!
