These pen and gear kids scissors are great and very kid friendly as advertised. The blunt tips make parents feel comfortable knowing their child's not going to nip themselves or stab their siblings. The easy grip handles are perfect for those little hands to go to town creating those holiday cards or refrigerator works of art with perfect control and ease of use. These scissors are also very sturdy. The blades are good and tight for a smooth even cut. No wobbling. The handles are also a little thicker for a firm grip. Each one a solid molded piece, no separation or splitting apart and possibly injuring your child. I highly recommend these for any child's use.

Fiskars products are always dependably high quality and durable. These well constructed 5 inch blunt kid sized scissors are no exception. The grips are smooth and well contoured to fit little hands and encourage control when cutting. The blunt shape of the tips keeps them safe, and the blades are sharp enough to easily cut various papers and craft supplies. Felt and cardboard met with a little bit of difficulty when the kids were cutting. I managed just fine with them. I believe that children learn best when given the proper tools for the job at hand and I found these to be excellent beginners' tools. The bright colors are fun and the 2 pack is convenient.
