For all those folks out there complaining about different temperatures. A rectal temperature, reads different from a forehead temperature and tympanic will also read different along with axillary. Thats why nurses and Drs need to calculate actual temp based on where the reading was obtained. There is a video of a mom taking a bunch of readings and nothing is the same. Readings taken through sweaty hair will be cooler because, sweat was designed to help cool the body down. infrared thermometers were designed to take temperatures of the skin. Not through hair, under clothes, etc. this thermometer is perfect for home use.

This is a great product. Very accurate and easy to use. Some thermometers give a different temp every time but this one is pretty consistent. Plus it's simple. No trying to figure out the perfect spot or angle. I purchased 2 different ones because one got here a day before and this one is by far the better one.
