This product deserves a 5/5 rating for helping with energy efficiency and for (unexpectedly) decreasing a long-standing odor problem in my house. All you need are the socket sealers, a screwdriver (flathead and/or Phillips as needed), and a putty knife to slide under each cover and loosen it if it sticks to paint on the wall. The foam sealer’s openings for the screws and outlet/switch are true to size and placed perfectly. The sealers are thin enough that the cover will still fit snugly to the wall after you replace it over the sealed outlet cavity. Surprisingly, it may also help with odors. In my detached house in North Carolina, cigarette smoke seeps in every day, even after encapsulation of the crawlspace and attic. After I placed the socket sealers throughout the house, the smoke odor was noticeably decreased for the first time. Who would have guessed that one of the cheapest and easiest repairs to the house would have an impact on the annoying smoke odor problem.

These are a must have! The price of heating and cooling a home can really put a dent in your pocketbook. They are easy to use, and you just punch out the parts you don't need for pretty much any socket/switch you have in the house! It stops the drafts! Add some plastic plug covers to the outlets you don't use and even more draft is stopped. They are so reasonably priced, I know they have already paid for themselves.
