PUR PLUS Faucet Mount Water Filtration System, Horizontal, Black/Chrome, PFM200B

1st, Im not new to using these pur faucet filters so it is on correctly securely. I also let it run w the filter switch turned down for 5 mins as instructed. That said, it leaks REALLY bad. In fact, it's even made water leak from a part of the faucet down at the base, not anywhere near this that didn't leak w/o it. I did give it 3 stars because 1 - it does filter the water, which is why I kept it and my water is SO hard and cloudy and even smells w/o one so I NEED it and 2, it does look sleep compared to the vertical ugly grey one I had. And finally, it does install very easily and comes with a few different adapters IF it doesn't fit ur faucet as is, which it did for mine w/o any adapters. One thing to keep in mind if you've never used the horizontal one and want to just install w/o reading the instructions ...like I started to do, when you put it to ur faucet, you don't turn the WHOLE unit to tighten/attach... In my case, which is how I realized I should prob read the little packet, it doesn't fit under the faucet to turn. It's not supposed to.. because you turn the dial part to tighten, not the entire thing. Sometimes I think I'm a know it all and can just do things, I assume they're no brainers especially if it's something I've used before. Anyway, this thing looks really nice . I love how it looks and WISH the other colors hasn't been so much more because that champagne one would have matched my kitchen so perfectly and probably would have looked EVEN better. Seriously, though, after using that vertical grey one for years and then putting this thing in, it looks so elegant. Another thing to keep in mind, if you rent, DON'T forget what you swapped out for this to for, should you need to. When I was cleaning out my old apartment to move into here, I was removing the filter (I did need to remove something to put it on and was smart enough to not throw it out and kept it in the back of my silverware drawer for this day just like I never threw out my shower head when adding an RGB one on and kept that under the bathroom sink) BUT a few years later and I couldn't remember/figure out how to put the faucet thing back on so now it's just sitting on the sink and I know I'm gonna hear about it once Im completely moved out and everything cleaned there. So just don't throw nothing out u might need to remove and REMEMBER how it was. You don't wanna just leave the filter on either because I had no idea how GROSS these things actually get over time. I only noticed the actual water coming out so it's probably also a good idea to change these out once in a while and not just the filters (if you're not new to these you probably know all this already but just some info for you if you're new to faucet filters and considering this) I will say I've had the brita filter pitcher I kept in my fridge as well but it does take space and is annoying to continually have to fill. Hopin the leaking don't cause water damage/stains cuz it leaks whether on filter or regular

This was a really annoying pain. We got this one due to it saying it was super simple easy to set up and I mean sure, it would be if they included universal parts for internal vs external aerators on your existing tap. We literally went through assembly and disassembly trying the few that came with it and realized that there is no connector if your aerator is recessed. It suggested not to return it but rather call them so we had to do that and wait for delivery of the parts that would make it work. I would not buy again honestly. I understand them trying to save money to make it more cost effective I guess? It should say so on the packaging though. It seems to be functional now otherwise.
