The jar has a tamper-proof seal The jar also has a spill seal under the cap to prevent leakage It is plastic but the label states it is a BPA free container The "Best Before" date is Oct. 2021-3+ years out The jar is FULL at initial opening Comes with a suggestions list in case the honey crystallizes, etc. Here's the "meh"s.... If you have never tasted Manuka honey be prepared for a totally different tasting honey-but it's one that you can learn to love!
