Shark Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, Pet Friendly, PowerFins HairPro, Odor Neutralizer Technology, Self Cleaning Brushroll, ZD550 Purple

I have always wanted a Shark vacuum, because everyone I know who has one loves it! Walmart's sale enabled me to buy two for the price of one!! I got the LD550 and the LA490. Without bias, I can say these are both the best vacuums I've ever used!! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and degenerative disc disease, so I can't be lugging around a heavy vacuum. Both models I bought are lightweight and very nimble in their maneuverability. The lift away function makes vacuuming the stairs so much easier than lugging and lifting my old vacuum. I love that you can also release either just the handle or the wand too! This really makes vacuuming the whole house a more convenient experience for me!! The only con I can think of is the odor neutralizer cartridges are $20 for a 2 pack, but hopefully they last a while! One more con is I was not able to register my LA490 model on the Shark website, as they say that model doesn't exist, even though that is clearly stamped on the machine. Hopefully, their customer service will assist with this.

I love love love this! I live in an apartment, have Cats, and have long hair myself, so there is shedding of Hair everywhere! Haha! I bought this specifically for the Self-Cleaning Roller, and it has lived up to it's name! I have been a loyal Shark buyer for 20 years, and if you want a great "middle of the road" Vacuum, this is it! The Filter Cup is much bigger than the older Sharks, so it cleans a lot better when you dump it and don't have to dig for stuff that is caught in it. The Odor Neutralizer Vacuum Cartridges are a nice touch as well. It helps keep musty odor out of your vacuum. It recommends that you change it every 3 months, but I do it once a month having Pets and all. It is also VERY lightweight, so it is very easy to pick up and move if needed. Especially for someone like me, that doesn't have a lot of muscle usage, as I have been sick with Breast Cancer in the last 3 years. I can actually pick it up with one hand by the neck, and lift it over a box. Actually, the box that is behind it in the picture, as I am in the middle of redecorating. Hence the mess in the background, haha! It also has a Lever for different suction, so when you are using it on Carpet versus needing to use it on the Bare Floor. If you need to Vacuum small spaces or areas that is a little cluttered, the swivel works great as well! Overall this vacuum is wonderful, the smell stays out of the canister and it is definitely worth the money! 💵
