I tell all my friends and family about the great anti-depressive benefits I get from light therapy and have given a couple as gifts since I began with Verilux a decade ago. The original lamp has not exhibited a single problem in all that time. I purchased this very nice new one simply because I am 78 and put it away for the summer, then couldn't find it when I realized about a month ago that I felt kind of lousy and thought, Happy Light. I purchased this light to help set my circadian rhythm. I am seldom sleepy in the evening and have difficulty falling asleep, having to rely on medication. I think this light is a game changer. In less than two weeks of use, I can already tell a difference. I actually feel tired about 10pm and can drift off within 15 minutes of going to bed.
