Like the carpenters' code, measure twice -- before ordering. Info may lead to next size up, especially if sox/bulky sox are planned. The heel area might be a tad loose, but held in place by overall design. Would not slip-in standing, but easy-on when seated. Not planning these for long walks, but overall fine for the price.

I haven't given it to her as yet, but from the appearance, it seems sturdy, nicely made and I like it, hopefully my Niece will like it when she unwrap her gift on Christmas Day.
