No fillers!

I love that Daisy doesn’t add fillers and additives to their cottage cheese (nor their sour cream!) like most other brands! Definitely doesn’t need them for taste or texture, so it’s crazy other brands do it. So glad Walmart sells the big 3 pound tub of it because we eat a lot of cottage cheese!!

Want a super healthy treat? This is it!

If I could give this all natural - NO GUMS! - cultured cottage cheese 7 stars instead of just five I would do it. A good amount of calcium and 13 grams of protein (protein similar to 2 large eggs) in just 1/2 cup makes it substantial nutrition. How to stop at 1/2 cup is a bit of a mystery because it is so tasty and creamy. Hubby and I both find it to be so delicious that we are buying the double size containers instead of the quart containers. The only difference between this cottage cheese and the old super creamy round curds of decades ago is the tiny little squares in the rich, creamy sauce. I think this would make delicious lasagna if you creamed it in a blender, and I intend do just that relatively soon. You might wonder: How do they get those perfect little cubes of cheese instead of random size natural curds. "Magic?" However, it is delicious and it is creamy. And the big thing is that it is healthy and that means a lot. Hubby likes his Daisy cottage cheese with fruit or chopped fresh tomatoes. I like this so much that I will happily eat a bowl of it as it comes from the container, and often do just that. In the past I ordered Nancy's brand cultured cottage cheese through a food club, but it is actually not quite as tasty as this, and the price is close to twice as high. Thank you, Daisy, and thank You Walmart for stocking it.

Better price and large container

Cottage cheese has gotten so expensive that I've been looking for ways to save money since it's a kitchen staple at our house. I like the convenience of the large container, and the price is slightly better buying it at Sam's. The only option they offer is the large curd full fat variety, but this is what we prefer.
