When we received it. The directions didn't make sense. We had to improvise on some steps. Some of the wood was chipped. The trimming had come off. We had to glue it with wood glue. Some of the bases had cracks in them. The main reason why we didn't return was we had taking everything out. We had no way out of bundling it back to return it nor a vehicle big enough to take it to the store for a return. We had to improvise and make some adjustments to make it sturdier.

As someone who weighs almost 300 pounds, this was the most sturdy bed frame I've had so far. It was stable, barely creaks when I moved. Dad told me assembly was a but hard. My only complaint is the delevery man left it on the opposite end of the building on the ground floor. My 60 year old dad had to haul up four boxes meant for team lifting by himself up the stairs and accross the hall >:(

Affordable and very beautiful bed

I will say this assembly reminded why I always pay to have the bed put together however it's definitely worth the coin!!! Do not purchase a 10 inch mattress for the bottom as it does not leave much clearance for the bottom bunk I recommend a 8 inch full bunker mattress. The wooden slats could be thicker I would recommend this bed for young youth not teenagers or tweens. My daughters love the bed and enjoy it,
