Right size

I like the size of this smoker/grill. It is the right size for a rack of spareribs without using up much charcoal or firewood. I put 2 to 3 pounds in firebox. Once charcoal was ready I added pecan wood, the charcoal ignited the wood. I used firebox to control temperature. I made a drip pan of aluminum foil and put it underneath grates in grill. Added rubbed spareribs thick side toward firebox. At first use I put a oven thermometer at meat level. When the meat thermometer was at smoking temperature of 225 degrees or so the thermometer on top of grill was at 400 degrees. After 4 hours of smoking the spareribs were very good. The only downfall the grill lid does not close tight enough. Ready to try grill burgers, chops. Etc..... without much use of charcoal. Smaller area to heat.
