NewAge Products Bold 3.0 Series Red 6 Piece Set

Before reading my review I'll admit I spend way too much time (Obsessive according to my wife) researching products and reading reviews before I purchase most items. Prior to purchasing the Bold 6 piece cabinet set (50502), I had looked at Husky, Gladiator, Craftsman, Kobalt and Seville cabinets. Beside the fact all five brands came unassembled, I found them to be flimsy with below average quality for the price being offered. I'm a pretty good handyman around the house, but I have better things to do with my time than I spend days assembling multiple cabinets only to find I wasn't satisfied with the end product. Although the New Age cabinets were not available in my area for me to inspect, they had welded steel frames, were delivered fully assembled (except for doors and shelves), had excellent reviews and looked good too. I initially wanted just two floor cabinets and a workbench, but opted to splurge and buy the 6 piece set which included wall cabinets and an extra wide floor cabinet. The New Age cabinets were priced about 10-15% above the other cabinets I looked at, but the superior quality, being preassembled and delivered to my home made the decision easier. After making the purchase, I wasnt sure how the delivery process would go since a few reviewers were a little peeved with the delivery people for leaving the product at the bottom of the driveway. I have a pretty steep driveway and wasn't looking forward to carting everything up to my garage. The private trucking company called a few days prior to delivery to schedule date/time. The guys arrived on time and when promised. They were unable to get the truck up my driveway because of the steep grade, so they unloaded the two giant pallets on the street. Before I was able to ask for their assistance in getting the pallets to my garage, they pulled out a jack lift and carted both 300# + pallets up the driveway. The delivery guys were incredibly professional and helpful. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I was incredibly impressed by the extents to which New Age Went to protect the products against damage during shipping. The amount of heavy gauge cardboard and styrofoam used would equal that used for a fine piece of furniture. Anyway..... the cabinets are well constructed, look great and worth the extra money I spent over the others I mentioned above. If it means anything about my level of satisfaction for the product and the company, this is the first review I've ever posted since my initial online purchase many years ago.
