This was a gift for a friend's birthday for his coffee, and he was very pleased when he got it home and put coffee in it. There were no leaks.. Stanley products are always quality. You just need to be careful putting the lid down into it by letting the steam out first may take a minute or two but then you're all set. There won't be any spouting of liquid coming out. I found this out when I received my stainless steel coffee cup Tumblr when I put the lid on which has a lip that you can open up, I keep that lip part open until I press it down, allowing the steam to go out first, and then I close the little lip lid part. Thumbs up on a great product..

It keeps drinks hot for a really long time indoors and even outdoors in the freezing cold weather. The only problem is the top because when you are drinking, the flip top part doesn't click onto the cup. But, I would buy it again, simply because it keeps drinks hot or cold no matter the temp inside or outside for hours.
