I purchased this one as a back up not knowing exactly what might be remaining in the older one. I bought this as I like to hike and we have bears in the area, as well as who knows who with crossbows hunting in the woods. I tested this and it works great. The gel goes straight out, unlike a traditional spray. Compact and easy /convenient to carry also. Well worth the money. So glad Walmart carries this brand.

For the record, Pepper Spray is legal in all 50 states and i got this to wear when walking (after being chased by two stray dogs that were aggressive) the strap is easily adjustable and fits comfortably on my hand, it doesn't slip off or move around. I feel more safe when i have this with me for protection.
