I bought this just a few days ago and was so excited to get it. I had back surgery and before that my injury caused so much agony it was a very long and difficult process to shave my legs. I'm going to be as blunt as possible because there are a lot of negative reviews about the shaver. I think people don't read the instructions, use common sense, or just want the easy fix a salon is going to do for the price of a shaver. For people that do a dry shave, even with a razor it sucks. It's a quick fix. If you have dry skin, especially in the winter, you will have to go over a section repeatedly. The best thing to do is moisturize your legs (apply some lotion) then do it or use a teeny tiny bit of sensitive shave gel to create very fine bubbles on your skin. The optimum time to do it is after a bath but the point of me buying the shaver was to cut that part out because the standing, bending, twisting is too much for my back. I'm 44 and the surgery was to fix a fractured back and pelvis from a climbing injury. If you have someone with a disability or an elderly relative in mind this will make their life easier. It works great if you use common sense. Very happy I bought it.
