About this item

Product details

The Yamaha APX600 thinline cutaway acoustic-electric guitar combines incredible comfort, easy, top-fret access and an incredible sound ready for all stages in your life. It features a distinct oval soundhole for thicker lower-mid response and a more attention-getting low end, with a sweet abalone rosette to perfectly complement it. It is constructed from a combination of spruce top and nato body with a gloss finish and a locally sourced tropical tonewood for the neck as well as a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

This upgraded APX600 features a unique undersaddle piezo pickup, the Yamaha proprietary SRT transducer. The same as the one featured in their highly acclaimed A Series range, it captures your guitar's natural tone with the feedback rejection and mix-friendly sound guitarists crave.

Although its style has evolved, the essence of the APX remains the same. Today, it boasts a more natural look, a deeper body for better bass response and greater volume, and a non-scalloped bracing pattern for a responsive, dynamic tone.
  • SLIM BODY, EASY PLAYABILITY: Thin-line APX cutaway body offers lasting playing comfort and effortless access to the upper frets, making it ideal for lead playing, fingerstyle, and extended practice sessions
  • COMFORTABLE PLAYING FEEL: 25-inch scale length with narrow 10 mm string spacing provides a familiar feel for electric guitar players while making chord transitions and fingerstyle techniques more comfortable
  • RICH, RESONANT ACOUSTIC TONE: Deeper body design and Yamaha's non-scalloped X-bracing enhance bass response, projection, and dynamic range for a balanced, natural acoustic voice
  • STAGE-READY ELECTRONICS: Yamaha's SRT under-saddle piezo pickup and SYSTEM65 preamp deliver natural amplified tone with onboard volume, 3-band EQ, Mid Frequency control, and a built-in tuner for confident live performance
  • RELIABLE HARDWARE: Elegant abalone soundhole rosette, chrome die-cast tuners, and black ABS bridge pins with white dots combine premium styling with dependable tuning performance
  • Sound Choice – Tuned to deliver the sound quality musicians expect and audiences appreciate.
  • Made by a Music-Focused Brand – If a brand’s products are offered through Sam Ash, you know it has a strong reputation for serving and respecting the musician community.

Beautiful

This is my first acoustic guitar and it's a beauty. I bought it because it was a thin body, and I wanted something high quality that would be with me for years and years. The gorgeous color also drew my eye of course, so that was a wonderful bonus that tipped the scales. It's just as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. I can't speak to the quality of the built in tuner, as I've been using my own external tuner, but everything else arrived in good shape and working/sounding great. It has a great sound, fits me perfectly, and plays beautifully and comfortably. Couldn't be happier.

No package, no feedback no refund

I ordered this for my son. On the day of delivery, they updated us about the delayed package. Over 2 weeks later, they have not responded to any message, shipped or delivered. Don't buy from this seller. They are a fraud.
