Will not work on a car seat!

It says that it can be used for a car seat, but that is not the case. I recently upgraded to a convertible toddler seat which has no canopy. I needed something to keep the sun out of the baby's face. This one was cheaper than others I looked at. There are absolutely no instructions on how to install it and, try as I might, it just does not work on a car seat. Waste of money for me.
