I can't speak for the durability but the locking mechanism is sturdy. The casters roll smoothly over my low carpet, and I like the 5th wheel on the door to prevent tipping as well as the fact that the front two casters can lock. Doors slide nicely, folder hanger is just perfect, and the Aqua color is true to the website image. So far the metal doesn't make that horrible clunk sound like larger or cheaply made ones make when the metal is pressed against. I only need this small one to organize letters, paid bills, medical files etc. It's not a ton of paper but it's scattered across the house and I'd like to keep it in one place. It's functional and matches my turquoise/white/purple decor nicely.

I chose two of these files cabinets to put in my closet to replace my HUGE dresser in our bedroom. Kid you not, this was a great idea. Sturdy and cute and I don't regret the purchase. You can only open one drawer at a time to keep the integrity of the tracking. That is completely fine with me. The front wheel is a smart design idea that also helps. Packaging was very well done to protect the cabinet(s). Rolled right over my hardwood and carpeting with ease.
