Easy to find the switch while lying down.

I like having the switch on the base rather than at the top of the lamp. I use it on my bedside nightstand and can easily reach the switch while lying down. It took a while to find this style, but I'm glad I was able to finally find it. Because the LED light is not replaceable, an earlier lamp I had was "converted" by cutting off the cord and then sticking a puck light on the head for a highly portable lamp for working puzzles.

I bought this light for my mother. She loves that she can focus the light on the counter to read and write with a brighter light. The cord is of a nice length, very sturdy, base has sufficient weight, gooseneck is easy to adjust to where you need the light, and the light is plenty bright enough.
