Well packaged and easy to install. I added a blower which was also easy. Everything works. The flame is okay but not outstanding. The manual controls are a bit difficult to access. You can set the remote control temp but the controller only goes up. If you overshoot your target temp you have to cycle all the way through the range. Build quality is good for the insert. When they are available I want another log set for a spare. Overall its reasonably nice and should do the heating I require.

Do not buy!

The item came in with no issue, but it is defective. The remote housing does not work, unable to turn on item as intended. For the cost of near 1k, you would expect your time to work. The customer service does not respond to you! You may receive a broken item with no way to fix it! Feeling pretty hopeless and disappointed in Walmart.

You will initially need to light the pilot and turn the control knob to the on position and slide the receiver box to remote position.
