When I purchased my water softener 8 years ago ResCare was recommended and shipped with the softener. My water is 35 grains and my iron is around 2ppm depending on the time of year. ResCare has kept my water softener operational and has minimized iron buildup in the resin bed. The only issue I had was relating to delivery. Caps should be taped when shipping to prevent loosening. When FedEx delivered they placed the case upside down. One of the bottles had a loose cap and leaked out, there was about 50% of the product that leaked out. Seller provided a refund for the damaged bottle.
