I really like this flashlight.

Being the second brightest flashlight COAST makes, it definitely lives up to it. It blows away my modified 6 cell MAGLITE, modified with a 1000 lm led module, and is a LOT smaller, lighter and can run on a Zithion rechargeable or AAA alkaline batteries. Its sustained 3800 lm brightness and PURE BEAM optics make it a good search light option that's easy to handle and will last up to 3 hours with the Zithion battery. I carry 3 spares so that would give me close to 12 hours, more than enough to last all night. The flood light setting casts enough light to illuminate a dark basement or attic nicely, making finding that old something-or-other short work. Overall, this as a great flashlight, with that COAST Built-like-a-tank quality and versatility that will make it your favorite choice the next time you need a flashlight.

Super powerful! Long lasting

im happy with it, it is very long lasting and very bright, it would be even better if the focus could turn even more into a spot light rather than a flood light. fast and eaasy warranty claim when my light's chip malfunctioned.

Wow

I have several Coast lights but the xp40r is the brightest and again another most reliable flashlight I've ever purchased in my life it has a screen that tells you the information of how much battery you have and you can even charge your phone off of it if you find yourself in a bad situation and no charger around
