I had to start using my power cord on my laptop because the battery would get low quickly so it would start to feel hot. this laptop cooling pad works great to keep my laptop cool. I adjust the fan on low. The tray feels light compared to a couple others I bought. There is adjustment for the height, but I don't use them on my lap since I sit here on the couch. I recommend this table it works great
