I am a 71 year old female, previously when my tire sensors were causing light on my dashboard that wouldn't go out, I previously took it to a dealer and paid $300!!! Fast forward 3 years, my husband aired up my tires for the spring, on comes the dashlight again, but I happened upon this little tool and thought I would give it a try. I watched a youtube video and did exactly what was told to do ..this tool fixed my issue, tires all recalabrated , dashlight out WOW!! And it was under $20!!

Amazing; it worked. However. It apparently does not clear the dashboard alert if the actual tire sensor (inside the car tire) needs to be replaced. Unfamiliar with all this, I looked in my car's manual re the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and how it can “relearn.” The info sheet with this device offers a way to enter the relearn process. Inserted the needed 9-V battery. Three tires read OK; the fourth seemed to show a new sensor was needed. Local service dept. confirmed that. Usually after a tire change or rotation, if a car has a TPMS, it needs to be reset, and if the tire technician does not do it, this device should be a good stand in.
