Excellent for it's price.

Ok. So i'm going to give this computer 5 stars. It is a lot of bang for the buck. I'm going to start by saying when i first fired this thing up i wasn't expecting much. I mean 4gb memory? The specs are on the lower end, but then again so is the price. So when i first turned it on, it had some lagg. After using it online for a bit i could tell it was speeding up. Some websites it does lagg when i type... However i have always been told i am a faster than normal typer. However the lagg isnt to terrible, and it doesnt lagg on every website. I will say facebook was the worst, but i only had that issue using the website, and not the app. I played a couple of facebook games through the internet browser. Again a little slow, but it never once crashed! On the Hp Stream that game would crash every time you just tried to fire it up! You couldn't do anything! Basic internet browsing it does fine. There is a small loading time frame. Its not like you blink and the page is there. Takes 30-45 seconds typically. Overall i would say you get what you pay for... Except this exceeds its $200 price point. I can [;ay Sims 3. I have not attempted Sims 4. Personally i think Sims 3 is better... But on a whole if you are an internet browser, and play light games i would say this computer is perfect for you! It has a real hard drive unlike the streams. It also has a disk drive... Unlike the streams, and i can download stuff while browsing and it doesn't slow it down too much. I have noticed the more i keep using it, the faster it seems to get, so that's a positive. As of right now i'm keeping it! I'm really enjoying it's performance! Especially since i only paid $200! I was a little skeptical since it has no reviews, so thats why i am here writing one.

Great beginner laptop

I bought two of these for my kids for Christmas. Since it's their first PC, I wasn't concerned about the speed and performance. I just want them to be able to learn how to use it. It has a disc drive and lots of USB ports. I've used the Google apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.) to save space and avoid additional expense in MS Office. I am SHOCKED at how great this laptop has worked out, given the super-low price. I'm loving it-- and waiting for it to come back in stock to buy myself one.

Great Performance & Upgrade Options

I ordered the HP 15-BA015WM with Site-to-Store option when Walmart had these on sale 2 weeks ago. These are the most important hardware details of this laptop to help people make their buying decisions: ##### System ID: 82F6 - Product ID: 1NT85UA#ABA - CPU: AMD E2-7110 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics - Installed RAM: 4096MB DDR3L-1600 1.35V Samsung M471B5173EB0-YK0 in DIMM slot 2, DIMM slot 1 is empty and available - BIOS Revision: F.24 - Installed Optical Drive: HP DVDRW GUD1N - Installed HDD: WDC WD5000LPCX-60VHAT0 500GB, SATA 6Gb/s, 5400RPM, 16MB cache - Battery: HS04041 . Crucial.com scan reported the laptop would support up to 16GB DDR3L SODIMM (8GB/slot), pls refer to the attached screenshot. WiFi adapter is the Lenovo SW10A11648 (Realtek RTL8821AENF) M.2 2230 802.11ac with BT4.0. The HDD can be replaced with a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD of our choice. Drivers, BIOS updates and manuals can be downloaded here (I hope Walmart will not remove the D/L link): https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers - then enter 15-BA015WM as the device model. ##### NOTES: (From the Manual) To enter the Setup Utility (BIOS), turn on or restart the computer, quickly press ESC, and then press F10. I will add more memory later probably after Christmas, but 4GB is OK for now. Big THANKS to Walmart for the super low sale price and the super fast site-to-store shipping (took only 2 days). Thanks HP for the very nice looking laptop that works perfectly as a travel Windows laptop. However, I wouldn't waste time with the HP online chat reps, who don't know much about their own HP laptops and, even worse, couldn't find the right documents to get the product details that they didn't know.
