Darn Good Rice

Uncle Ben's wild rice mix is absolutely yummy. I made baked chicken and rice, and substituted the wild rice mix for regular rice and it turned out delicious. The taste is good, the seasoning is balanced, and you can pair this with either beef or poultry and it cooked up as expected. Definitely a staple in my pantry. This would make a good rice salad base with mushrooms, cooked chicken pieces, cherry tomatoes halved or any other ingredients that need to be used up. Highly recommend.

Great in homemade chicken and rice soup!

This rice is so good! I love the flavor packet. When I make homemade chicken and rice soup this is my go to rice. I use celery, onion, bell pepper, to make a roux. Add in chicken broth, chicken, wild rice, and at the end I put in cream or half and half depending on what I have. Sometimes I take a shortcut and use the rotisserie chicken at Walmart. Goes quickly that way. Oh and I add mushrooms. In fact as soon as the heat index here in Alabama is under 105 I will make some. That is why I got the rice!

Great Addition to Meals

Great addition to any meals. More salty that I thought, so I did not need to add any extra sodium.
