Needs a bar to hold on to. But I did know I was ordering the one without. It needs a longer cord. Didn't know I had to plug it in. So there was no where I could use it for the space it requires. Works great and keeps track of progress. Remote is helpful. Had to hold onto furniture for stability. It is quiet. Had to return. That was a problem since it is Walmart Marketplace and not Walmart. Did get money back but still have the walking pad in the box due to inability to use.
