Honeywell THX9421R5021WW 2 Wire IAQ High Definition Touch Screen Thermostat

The device arrived quickly and it working. My one item of note is the product box wasn't sealed in any way and the packaging didn't provide protection

Thermostat and all the attached gadgets work fine. It's a really complex system with quite a few pieces of equipment in the kit that seem to work together quite well to control my Lennox HVAC systems and attached humidifier units. Two things that I wish were better. Communication is a tad bit slow as you enter your setting in the app and/or the thermostat unit, and it takes about a minute to kick-in. I figured it was due to all the complex set of gadgets that need to communicate with each other before the new setting takes effect. I replaced my nest 3rd gen thermostats with this one to be able to better control the whole house humidifiers and while these thermostats do the job pretty well the app interface is absolutely terrible and needs work. Honeywell - please model your app after nest or similar. Those are great looking and very user friendly. Why does your app include a ribbon for Rebates? I don't want to see that on the main screen at all. If interested, I will visit your website for rebates and making more purchases. I don't want to be reminded everyday to check for "Rebates" with a perpetual ribbon that occupies a significant portion of the main screen. Please, please fix this!!!
