Nice for the price

The directions are very clear and precise so it was very easy to input the batteries and fill it. However the fill compartment is rather small. The grinder can easily be adjusted to allow for different size grinds, but there are no directions for that. Turns out it's very simple, but I had to watch a short video to see just how simple it was. lol. It can be held and used with one hand. I like that it is stainless steel with ceramic grinder and the price is certainly right for those features. I purposely chose a unit that uses batteries because I don't like to be bothered with having to plug in USB cords, so if the unit is built in such a way that the batteries last a bit I'll be very happy with my purchase. If not, I will update this post.

Beautiful item but difficult.

Put in 8 brand new AA batteries, that are fresh until 2036. When opening the units to put the batteries in, the spring that is under the activation button on top always falls out, so you have to put it back in. The instructions are not helpful at all, they just say put in the peppercorns and course salt. On the bottom of the grinder, there are images of small or larger grind, but have no idea how to change it, it just has an arrow showing to turn left for larger grind or right for smaller grind, but have not figured out what I have to do to change it.
