extremely versatile product, provides quick but excellent fixes.
this is a beautiful and high quality 'tile'. we used this as a quick (but permanent enough...) fix when we were replacing a wall-mounted faucet. i knew we would have to break the wall open to replace the faucet and that, that would be a laborious and slightly complicated mess. but i also knew we had to get everything back in working order and covered up by the end of the way. we had an acrylic backsplash on the wall, and i knew that once we put the new faucet in, we would have to re-drill holes in that backsplash for the new faucet and their positioning. but obviously, we didn't want the old holes to show, and we also didn't want the wall which now had a hole to show. i knew that if we covered the backsplash with this flexible vinyl tile, we could then cut the new faucet holes in the backsplash, and the tile / recovered backsplash could mask the new opening in wall. well, it did just that! and nicely. it took us about 5 hours to actually replace the faucet (break through wall, cut pipes / connection of old faucet, solder new pipes and valve for new faucet in place, etc...). but then putting the backsplash back -- we pre-covered it with smart tile, which took an hour of some careful cutting, positioning etc -- and cutting new holes in it and through the smart tiles was quick, about half an hour. so, the whole smart-tiles involved aspect was only about 90 minutes, tho carefully planned haha. anyway i knew the tiles would work well, be able to be installed quickly, and that once it was actually up, it would look great and function well. and that's exactly what it does! once again, i see it is a highly useful, versatile and durable product. highly recommended.

These tiles made my van conversion really stand out. If this is your first time using these, be mindful that you have to be extremely careful with making each piece level. Just a slight raise in one tile can lead you to follow that an eventually when you stepback it will be uneven. Fortunately, I learned that lesson the last time I installed these so this one turned out much better. I've found that a good pair of scissors was very accurate for me. The texture of the tiles is great and gives an illusion that these are real, raised tiles. Well done smart tiles and please continue to make more modern designs like this. I am not a fan of most of your designs.

i had a small studio space that needed a stylish and inexpensive update. a few years of wear and tear had started taking their toll on surfaces that previously looked good. i stumbled upon smart tiles, and was definitely intrigued. when i received them and took them out of the box, my first reaction was wow-- these are pretty! they definitely had a nice and intriguing finish. i mean i know they are vinyl- but they really do look like tile and they had an interesting mixed feel to them (i.e., their dual finish). . . i used this as a small back splash for a sink area, where had previously had polished concrete. once, years ago the concrete looked cool and modern but now it just looked dark and no longer so great! i also used it as a new backsplash for a bathroom sink area. . . total installation time took a few hours, but application was relatively simple. we were just going slowly and carefully, to get precise and straight lines. we also ordered the edging, which i think is a must for a fully clean and polished look. . . for the cost, and the careful but not extensive effort involved in application, i so far think these tiles are great! time will tell how well they stand up, but i have already ordered more in other finishes, for other rooms and areas. my initial impression is it is a very high quality and innovative product, and a relatively easy and efficient way for a little design and home redo! . . definitely recommended. ; - )
