Fiskars Wavy-Blade hedge shears.

IMO there's nothing better than Fiskars garden tools. They work extremely well.

Great for any hedge

These work great even for thicker branches. The tension adjuster helps a ton as well. They aren't the sharpest around, but they work if they are.

Fiskars

I have a few Fiskars products, these shears are good for trimming limbs from bushes or small trees with small limbs. The handles have a rubber grip. I recommend.
